Just about says it all!

Lauren & Chris’s wedding Saturday in Wormley was a great success, lovely family, great atmosphere. Perfect Barbeque again cooked by John & Del, followed by a hog roast. Busy bar, even John took his whites off and mucked in serving!
I received this from Lauren’s dad this morning, proves its not just me that thinks we get it right!

Dan & Laura,

Just a short note to say a huge thank you to you and Laura for making Lauren & Chris’s wedding day a most fantastic occasion. Feedback from everyone that attended, highlighted the quality of the sumptuous food & personal service that Kingfisher provided. It was highly professional and I would have no hesitation in using your services again. It enabled me to have an enjoyable and stress free day as Father of the Bride.

Laura’s quality organisation on the day was of military precision, without being intrusive, and helped the event flow as it should. It was a delight to work with her.

48hrs @ Kingfisher!

So another busy weekend for the KF team, Saturday saw us in Enfield for Damian & Louise’s marquee wedding, set in the beautiful grounds of Damian’s parents home. Louise looked stunning as did her bridesmaids in mint green and pink, the marquee dressed in the same green looked wonderful. Lots of attention to detail and planning made it look spectacular.
Sun shone, champagne reception with canapés, followed by a tasty 3 course wedding breakfast consisting of smoked salmon, celeriac remoulade, baby leaves & orange dressing, followed by rump of lamb, mint dauphinoise, warm salad of peas, leeks, baby carrots and broad beans & lamb jus, finished off with a trio of desserts consisting of Eton mess with blossom honey, dark chocolate torte & citrus tart with berry compote. Delicious! So many great comments on the food, cooked to perfection, well done kitchen team!
Live band soon had the floor rocking and with Ian & Joel keeping the bar flowing, the atmosphere was awesome. They partied hard into the early hours, and we kept finding ourselves dancing with them from behind the bar! Great to be part of their special day, well done all!

Brook Farm in the rain!

So Saturday saw us back at Brook Farm for Luke & Helen’s wedding, ceremony took place over looking the lake out the front of the Tipis, beautiful apart from the fact the threatening rain started just as Helen made her way from the car. KF team quickly lifted all the laid tables carefully to the back of the Tipis to accommodate the 120 guests should the ceremony have to be moved. Luckily the rain was only slight so they managed it all outdoors!

The wind and the rain soon picked up, John & Stuart did a great job barbecuing 500 skewers half in the catering tent! They cooked Beef and Stilton Burgers, Honey glazed Chicken Skewers, Haloumi and Vegetable Kebabs and Lamb Koftes, served with a selection of potatoes and salads. Delicious!

Luke & Helen’s family and friends were lovely fun people, they partied from the start and drank hard from the bar, which was never less than 3 deep all evening! Well done to Ian, Rosie and Joel who kept it under control!

The rain didn’t stop, but no one cared, great night had by all, a pleasure for us to be involved. At least we only got wet from the rain this week, last week Ian insisted on showering under the beer keg!!

Another 48hrs @ Kingfisher! (Part 1)

So a very busy weekend for the KF team with 2 weddings on Friday and 1 on Saturday! Well done everyone involved many did a double shift, Dan, Phil & Ian worked till the birds started to tweet both mornings!

So Friday saw Becca’s team at Tolmers Park Farm for Melanie & Tris’s wedding, BBQ followed by a very busy bar for 180 guests, record number of jaeger bombs drunk, with 14 bottles emptied, sure there were some sore heads in the morning!

My team were at the beautiful Sandridgebury Farm in St Albans for Martin & Karen’s wedding. Marquee was provided by Deckerdence, a double decker bar bus! Looked superb, with a cocktail bar on top deck! Main course was beef carved at the tables by a nominated guest, always one to bring on laughs with door steps of beef being handed out!

Dancing and drinking till the early hours for both parties, success all round!

CAE Corporate Summer Ball

So Friday night was a different event for the KF team with a summer ball at Shendish House for CAE. This is the 3rd year we have catered this event for them and as always it went without a hitch. Kitchen team served a beautiful 3 course dinner which was well received, even managing to feed the extra six vegetarians and the cocktail bar staff! The drinks flowed and they partied hard until the early hours, the bar was constantly busy, well done to Ian and Joel who served hundreds of drinks with smiley faces! This little line up seemed a popular choice, blue WKD, jager bomb, followed by a sambuca shot! Bet there were some sore heads in the morning! Thanks CAE, see you next year!
