New Staff Training Day

We are offering a training day @courtgarden_house on Saturday 29th February. Here we will teach the candidates new skills and teach them the Kingfisher way! Our brand is very important to us and with the ever increasing bookings from clients that have been at one of our events, we must be doing it right!

Venue 360

Looking for a fantastic venue for conferences, charity dinners or weddings? The Riverside Suite @venue_360 holds up to 340 guests and has free parking. We are resident caterers here and have catered for lots of Christmas parties here also. A great venue with a bar, great for those large events.

Our Ami!

So going to miss this one. Ami has been a huge part of the Kingfisher team, not only front of house but always ready to step into her kitchen whites if required. A supportive member of staff, nothing has ever been too much trouble. Valuable staff like this are hard to find.

Pastures new, with a new life in New Zealand, we wish you all the luck in the world! We will miss you my friend x

Great weekend of tastings!

Here at Kingfisher we offer a complimentary tasting for two to all our couples ahead of their special days. This gives us time to not only let them sample the food they have chosen but gives us chance to get to know them but to give advice from our experience and assist with things like timings. It’s great fun and we love meeting them all!

This weekend we served canapés, trio’s of desserts, BBQ menus and sharing boards. Also some plated meals including deconstructed Beef Wellington! Delicious!

1st Wedding of 2020!

Saturday saw us catering for Jill & Bob at City Church in St Albans. We served a delicious three course wedding breakfast starting with a Salad of seared duck breast, pancetta, watercress, pink grapefruit, honey and lavender dressing; followed by Braised blade of Beef, fondant potato, broad beans, peas, green beans, baby spinach. A trio of desserts completed the meal consisting of Sticky toffee, salted caramel sauce; Blackberry Eton mess, vanilla shortbread and a Chocolate orange pot, ginger bread. Fantastic compliments from the guests about the food and a great day had by all.

Chinese New Year!

Friday night we worked with @eventsinc at Shendish Manor catering for a Chinese themed belated Christmas Party! Great night fun evening, no sign of anyone doing Dry January here!

Menu Choices? Decisions, Decisions!!

It’s hard to choose what to have for your main wedding breakfast . . .  it’s such a huge decision, with lots of different dietary requirements these days, and certain family and friends not eating certain things, it can feel like the hardest decision of all!

So to help you through this dilemma, we offer an individual complimentary tasting with you both, here at our kitchens to help.  This also gives you time to meet the team and for us to discuss the logistics of your day and advise if necessary.

I always feel the main place to start is with what you would both choose at your favourite restaurant and work from there. Remember its your day and your guests are there for you, so choose for yourselves! We ask you to pick a few starters, mains and desserts to try, then we can work from there. Our experienced chefs will advise on selections that work well together and will adapt anything to suit your individual requirements.

We have lots of our 2020 couples due in for tastings over the next 2 months, we can’t wait to meet them and start working with them towards their most special day!
