On Saturday we had our last wedding of a very busy season at Bucks Railway Centre. A lovely couple Tanya & Nick embraced the old railway setting and complimented it with lots of old fashioned themed accessories, from macrame walls, to dip dyed table cloths! it was a striking setting!
After the ceremony on the platform they had Prosecco and beers from the “Bubbly Bar’ accompanied by KF canapés, followed by a train ride and ice cream!
Moving into dinner they chose a 3 course of Roasted field mushroom, toasted olive croute, crispy pancetta, pea shoots and garlic aioli to start, followed by Sirloin of Beef, blue cheese dauphinoise, seasonal veg and red wine jus. Desert can a trio made up of Passion fruit posset, Pimms, strawberry and mint trifle and a chocolate brownie sundae. Coffee and homemade petit fours complete the delicious feast.
A great band with lots of dancing and drinks from our bar made for a great party! A fantastic day had by all and a great end to our wedding season! Now to start organising Christmas!!
Great tasting last night with a lovely couple getting married next June at Eggington House, a favourite venue of ours. But what will they choose?!!
On Saturday we catered our last wedding of the year at Lodge Farm. With the season now coming to a close it’s great to receive great feedback on a Monday morning! Well done team!
Quick email to say a massive thank you. The food was amazing on Saturday, everything ran like clockwork, our guests were full and complimented the food from start to finish. The waiting staff were also incredible. Thank you for everything in the lead up to our wedding as well (sorry for our trillion emails and probably very annoying questions!).

At Kingfisher our talented chefs produce the most delicious BBQ’s and the one we served for Dani & Matt’s big day at Lodge Farm on Saturday didn’t disappoint!
After our signature canapés being served after the ceremony on the lawn the guests sat down in the Celeste marquee to a BBQ of Honey, soy and chorizo chicken skewers; Minute steaks; Monkfish, tiger prawn and salmon skewers and Marinated haloumi and vegetable skewers. All accompanied by bowls of Rocket, toasted pine nuts, parmesan, with balsamic dressing; Vine tomatoes, boccocini, red onion, rocket pesto salad and Saffron orzo, roasted courgettes, lemon, pan fried haloumi; and Cajun roasted sweet potatoes. For dessert they had a trio of desserts made up of Snickers brownie, clotted cream and Eton mess, strawberry shortcake, honey and a Passion fruit posset, pineapple compote, coconut shortbread. The guests were delighted with the food, we had lots of wonderfully complimentary comments! Well done team!
Having worked alongside Peter and his team at the partner venue Monkton Barn, we are delighted to announce our appointment as Resident Caterers at Court Garden House in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Court Garden House is a beautiful family run venue nestling at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, bordering the River Thames in historic Marlow, one of England’s most idyllic market towns. A venue perfectly situated for riverside weddings and large parties where you can arrive by car or boat!
We look forward to many beautiful weddings here along with lots of corporate events.
First wedding for us at this beautiful location last weekend. We looked after Chris & Claudia who celebrated their wedding day here with friends and family, many who had flown in from Italy especially. The even had beautiful classic Italian job style cars to bring the bridesmaids and groomsmen, a perfect touch. We served them canapés and Prosecco in front of the house before moving into the Tipi for a anti-pasti starter, followed by Sirloin of Beef, Crispy Polenta, Rocket Leaves, Vine Tomatoes and Oregano, Parmesan Gnocchi. This was completed with a trio of desserts consisting of Tirimusu in a Shot Glass; a Limoncello Posset and a Ricotta and Pistachio Cheesecake; a lovely menu combining two different cultures beautifully. A great band and the bride singing kept everyone entertained late into the evening. A lovely day for us to be a part of.
Saturday we catered for Hannah & Matthew at Monkton Barn in Marlow. They arrived to drinks and canapés which we served on the meadow in the summer sunshine. Moving into the marquee we served to each table a selection of delicious platters for the guests to share. They choose Thai Green Chicken; Lamb, Mint and Feta Burger; Caribbean spiced Pork Chops and Three Bean and Coriander Burgers. We also served Cumin spiced Cauliflower Steak, Marinated Vegetable Skewer, Marinated Vegetable and Haloumi Skewers. This was accompanied by bowls of Cajun roasted Sweet Potato; Penne, Roasted Aubergine, Red Pepper, Baby Spinach & Salsa Verde; Saffron Orzo, Courgettes, Lemon, & Haloumi and Roasted Med Veg, Lemon, Garlic, Parsley. A delicious feast that the guests loved. Dancing to a Ceilidh band and with the drinks flowing from the bar, the guests partied into the evening. Lots of love and laughter filled the marquee, a great day for us to be part of.
