On Saturday we had our first wedding of 2019 at Rothamsted Manor, basked in beautiful spring sunshine the guests enjoyed Prosecco and Canapés out on the lawn before moving into the stunning Great Drawing Room for the wedding breakfast. Kerry Ashby and her team @foxglovesandalice decorated the room into a stunning secret garden with magnificent floral displays.
For their wedding breakfast Zoe & Ludo chose a starter of Salad of seared Duck Breast, Pancetta, Pink Grapefruit, Watercress, Honey and Lavender Dressing with Spiced Pear, Apple and Parsnip Soup for the vegetarian option. Main Course was Parmesan Chicken Breast, Seasonal Vegetables, Saute Potatoes, Salsa Verde, Parmesan Crisp and our very popular choice of Roasted Vegetable and Goats Cheese Open Lasagne, Herb Salad, Hazelnut Pesto for the vegetarians. A trio of desserts followed of Sticky Toffee, Salted Caramel Sauce; Eton Mess, Blossom Honey, Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry and Caramelised Pistachio Brûlée. Tea, coffee and mints completed the delicious meal.
Dancing to the manhattens@fixthemusic carried on way into the evening. Delicious wedding cake by emilyjanecakes and bacon and sausage baps cooked by John kept the crowd going. A fantastic wedding to start the season for us, thank you Zoe & Ludo for letting us be part of your special day!
