Tipis at the Church

On Saturday we catered for the lovely Belle & Ben at their wedding in Whittlebury. A stunning setting with the Tipis on the lawns outside the church with rolling countryside as far as the eye could see!

Belle walked from her family home to arrive at the village church, a beautiful sight to see them all walk up the dirt track across the field!

We greeted them with Prosecco and G&T’s in the warm sunshine along with Kingfisher canapes. For their wedding breakfast they chose Mozzarella And Pesto Arancini, Roasted Tomato, Basil And Red Chilli Sauce to start, followed by Sirloin Of Beef, Blue Cheese Dauphinoise, Seasonal Vegetables, Toasted Almonds, Red Wine Jus with a choice of 2 desserts, either Glazed Lemon Tartlet, Clotted Cream, Caramelised Hazelnuts, Raspberries or Passion Fruit Posset, Pineapple Compote, Coconut Shortbread.

Heartfelt speeches followed by a brilliant band who had everyone dancing, including the KF bar staff! A great day to be part of!

Wedding Season in full swing!

Kingfisher Caterers

Its been a busy few weeks for the KF crew, Wedding season is in full swing, with weddings at Lodge Farm, Buckingham Railway Centre and Eggington House and Corporate events in their plenty!

Some shots from Katherine & Mike’s Day at Lodge Farm 5th May 2018.

Some pics from Laura & Robert’s Day at Lodge Farm 19th May 2018.

Also on Saturday 19th, Dan & Ian catered at St Michael’s School in St Albans for their first ever Charity Dinner  for 150 guests. With the below feedback we received yesterday, we can hopefully return and help them achieve the same again. Well done team!

The general consensus is that Kingfisher Catering were AWESOME!  The food was fab (I thought it might be): lovely starter, a substantial and warming main and a brilliant pud!  For me though, it was this:

Went over and beyond to help and make the evening a success.  Examples: helping to switch on the table lights; helping us setup the bar, poring a glass of wine for everyone.Flexibility.  For example, adapting the timings to suit the live auction.Really good service.  Fast, efficient and ran like clockwork. All the staff were friendly, helpful and had a really good attitude.Ian, the Catering Manager, deserves a special mention — really conscientious and proactive.  A huge asset to Kingfisher!

The event was a success and looks like we raised around £2,000 towards the school.  This was helped a great deal by Kingfisher’s special pricing for us, which allowed us keep the ticket prices down to boost numbers.

We’re not sure if we can face annual balls yet, but we very much hope to run an event with Kingfisher again in the future!
