Saturday we catered for Kiff & Stacey’s wedding reception at the stunning Lodge Farm. A beautiful couple with lovely friends and family made it a delightful day.
The rain stopped as they arrived to Pimms and canapés served on the terrace. Lots of laughter and pictures before they made their way into the marquee for a delicious wedding breakfast. They started with anti-pasti, breads & olives, followed by a main course of leg of lamb, yorkshires, garlic & rosemary roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots and redcurrant jus. Kiff asked a guest from each table to make their way into the kitchen where we gave them chefs hats and aprons and a board of meat to take to their tables to carve. Very funny! the other guests wondered where we were taking them! One lady whose husband was a carver said that she was worried we were going to make them sing!
A trio of desserts followed served with tea & coffee. Speeches, cake cutting and then DJ Sid got the party started. They danced long into the night, a truly magnificent day!
Great day for us serving drinks and canapes at Sketchers HQ grand opening in St Albans. There were even some celebs!
Today was an exceptional day, not only was the venue stunning, but looking after Lauren & Robbie’s special day will always be a day for us to remember!
The location with Tipis on the 18th green of an old golf course, with views of the fairway and lake made it so special to them, as they first courted here and Lauren currently works here, it will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Starting with the ceremony on the lawn, drinks and canapes, followed by the guests making their way through the windy path to the tipis for a delicious menu of smoked salmon, lamb and mint dauphinoise, and a trio of desserts. There was not a detail Lauren hadn’t thought through.
Fish and chips, dancing to a live band, caravan photo both! It was all there for the guests to enjoy. We are so please to be part of it and wish them every happiness in their future together.
Wedding season is really underway for us now, last Saturday a wedding at High Elms Manor for Carly & Ben, and a christening on Sunday for the lovely Holly and Dan’s first little one, Jack. It was so great to cater for them again as we looked after their wedding in 2013. At the same beautiful church in Putterham, the guests enjoyed afternoon tea of sandwiches and homemade scones and chocolate macaroons in the summer sunshine.
With tastings through the week, corporate lunches and weekend prep going on, the kitchen is buzzing with activity!
This Saturday we catered at the Spirella Ballrooms for Tom & Chrissy and at Hexton Manor for Jessica & Dale. With three course wedding breakfasts on both, and lots of canapes and evening food, the chefs worked their magic.
Jessica & Dale delicious menu choices were a starter of Prawn & Lemon ravioli, broad beans, baby parsley & shrimp veloute or twice baked goats cheese souffle, fig, honeyed pecans, herbs & parmesan cream; followed by sirloin of beef, blue cheese dauphinoise, green beans & a red wine jus, or Roasted cod loin, spinach, fondant potato, lemon & brown shrimp butter, or Summer vegetable risotto, pan fried haloumi & red chilli pesto. This was followed by a trio of desserts including raspberry & caramelised pistachio creme brulee, lemon posset tartlet, summer berry coulis, and sticky toffee pudding, salted caramel sauce with clotted cream. Delicious! every plate came back empty and the guests were extremely complimentary about the food.
The room was set beautifully, with hundreds of flowers and attention to detail at every point. They even had singing waiters who worked amongst us until they burst into song as we were clearing main course! the guests were overwhelmed, and I think were expecting my whole team to join in!
A great day, enjoyed by us all and we were thankful to be part of their special day. My team worked so well together and I has so many guests praising them, well done to you all!
