Turkey Dinner 2 different ways!

Friday we catered for Hightown’s Christmas party, with the theme this year being centred around an old English pub, complete with pool tables, dart boards and card tables, a queen vic bar with pints and pork scratchings, even Elton John showed up to play the grand piano in the corner!
We served canapes followed by food carts of roast turkey with all the trimmings, a picnic table with gingham cloths, scotch eggs, pork pies, cheeses and pickles. We served fish & chips in paper boats, and even had a pie & mash stall. The food fitted in with the theme well and was well received.
They partied late into the evening and drank the bar dry! A great office party!


Saturday we had our last wedding of the year at Hastoe Hall in Tring. The guests arrived to warm mulled wine and canapes and then sat down to a delicious three course dinner of winter vegetable & blossom honey soup followed by breast of turkey, sautéed shredded sprouts with smoked bacon, cocotte potatoes, pork chipolata, stuffing & red wine jus, served with red cabbage & roasted parsnips. A Christmassy trio of desserts followed including Christmas pudding a brandy cream. Delicious!

With the bar open and a celidh band entertaining the guests it was a wonderful wedding for Derek & Alix and a delightful family for us to look after for our last wedding.

Christmas Parties & Winter Weddings

After a few quieter weeks we’ve hit December with a bang! First week of December and the KF team have been very busy once again, with Beechwood Park school staff Christmas party on Friday evening and Chris & Anna’s beautiful wedding at Chenies Manor on Saturday, Dan and his team also served drinks and canapés at a private Christmas party on Saturday evening for the lovely Sam and her guests.
Beechwood staff enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a turkey festive dinner complete with crackers and party games, they all danced into the evening and had a great celebration.

Saturday we went to the beautiful Chenies Manor just outside Rickmansworth to cater for Chris & Anna’s winter wedding. With mulled wine and mince pies on arrival in the old house, they then came through to the fairy light decorated barn for a delicious 3 course dinner of roasted tomato and red chilli soup, followed by roasted chicken breast, lemon, honey & thyme roasted parsnips, baby new potatoes, sweet potato and salsa verde, and for dessert a trio of

Lemon and raspberry posset, ginger biscuit, Eton mess and treacle tart.

A great DJ had the party rocking into the evening, with drinks flowing from the bar, a fantastic day was had by all.

So this week is looking just as busy! Roundwood school Christmas lunch tomorrow, followed by Hightown’s Christmas party on Friday and the lovely Derek & Alix’s wedding at Hastoe Hall on Saturday!

We will make it out to party ourselves?
